Cookie Notice

This notice lists every cookie and every entry in browser storage that baseray.tech and the baseray app (app.baseray.tech) use, what each is for and how long it stays. Our privacy policy explains how we handle the personal data involved.
Some cookies and browser storage are strictly necessary for the service you asked for, or remember a choice you made, such as your language or your answer to our cookie banner. The law does not require consent for these (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, implemented in Romania by Law No. 506/2004, in Czechia by Act No. 127/2005 Coll. and in Denmark by the Cookie Order). Everything else is set only if you accept it in the cookie banner: the analytics cookie and, only while we advertise, advertising cookies. The banner asks on your first visit to baseray.tech or the app. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, your answer counts for both for 180 days, and you can change it at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page of baseray.tech, or in the app. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we take it as a refusal and do not ask, unless you accept yourself.

Without your consent, analytics on baseray.tech keeps nothing in your browser. The visitor id and session id that link the pages of one visit then exist only in the memory of the open page, and a link to another page of baseray.tech or to the app carries them in the parameter br_ph, which the page it opens removes from the address bar. When you withdraw your consent, we delete the analytics and advertising cookies and storage at once. Our privacy policy (sections 4.5 and 4.10) explains what we record.
2. The baseray app
The app runs at app.baseray.tech. It shows the same cookie banner and uses the same cookies for your answer, analytics and advertising as baseray.tech (section 1): they are set for baseray.tech and its subdomains, so one answer covers the site and the app. The app’s other cookies, below, belong to app.baseray.tech only.

Signing out ends your session but does not clear local storage. You can clear it in your browser’s settings.
Without your consent, analytics in the app keeps nothing in your browser either, the same as on baseray.tech.
3. Content from other services
- Map. The app’s map loads its images from the tile server of the map style you choose. The 3D view, address suggestions and address lookup come from Google Maps Platform. These services receive your IP address and, for searches, the text you type, under their own policies. Our sub-processors page lists them.
- Payments. Checkout and the billing portal open on Stripe’s own pages (checkout.stripe.com, billing.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies there, for example to prevent fraud, under Stripe’s cookie policy. We do not load Stripe’s scripts in the app.
4. Managing cookies
You can change your answer to the cookie banner at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page of baseray.tech, or in the app; withdrawing deletes the analytics and advertising cookies at once. You can also delete cookies and browser storage in your browser’s settings. If you delete the session or remember-me cookie, you are signed out. If you block cookies for app.baseray.tech, you cannot sign in.
